About
I am currently a textiles student at Arts Univserity bournemouth, studying BA (hons) Textiles, Graduating in 2024.My specialism is stitch and embellishment, with also a focus of 3D manipulation and laser cutter.
Taking inspiration from architecture of palaces and museums in Paris and Florence. It explores a historical context through modern textiles techniques, taking inspiration from the ribbon work and goldwork of the18th and 19th centuries and placing it into a contemporary context. This project is my final project of my BA Textiles (Hons) degree at Arts University Bournemouth. The main techniques used throughout are: CAD embroidery, Irish embroidery, beading, pleating, laser cutting and digital printing.
